I heart books. :)

So, I just wrote a post over at the Mom Writer's Lit Mag Blog, and I just had to continue it over here.

I am in love.

You see, this month I read three wonderful books - Jennifer Weiner's Goodnight Nobody and Lani Diane Rich's Ex and the Single Girl and The Comeback Kiss. And, yes, I know The Comeback Kiss doesn't come out for a few months yet, but that is one of the perks of being a radio host for a writing show. You get advanced reader's copies. ;)

Lately I have been hooked on reading again. I am one of those readers who can't stop until a book is finished, even if it's 2AM.

Lani is actually responsible for me not sleeping as much as I need to. Now, she doesn't know this, but its true. I started her book, with every good intention of reading "just one more chapter" and what happened? I stayed up late and finished the whole damn book.

I wish I could write like this. To be so compelling that people can't even put it down. Maybe part of it is my obsessive personality, but I just can't help myself.

The problem I now have is that my favorite authors of the moment (Lani Diane Rich, Jennifer Weiner and Jennifer Crusie) don't have anything new out. I guess I'm off to find some new authors.

I may wait a few days to do this though. Then I can get caught up on sleep first.
