I would like to say Thank You to all of the wonderful moms who have shown me and my book support since this past May. I am so grateful to you all.
For a neat Thanksgiving treat, check out my rant over at Momready at www.Momready.com.
I have a lot to talk about - see you after the holiday. May all your turkey be moist and your family all get along peacefully, if only for one day...or hour, however it works in your family. LOL
This years Halloween almost killed me.
I have this really stupid hang up about making my kids costumes. I think homemade costumes look much better than the cookie cutter store bought ones. This wouldn't be as much of a problem if I had some iota of crafting talent.
What makes this story much worse (at least from my point of view) is the fact that this year I had to make Sharkboy and Lavagirl costumes. If Disney had been smart enough to make these costumes, I would have bought them in a second.
In fact, I almost dropped $50 on a handmade on off of eBay. It's still handmade by someone, so I thought it would be OK.
Then there was the trick or treating. We went out for 2 HOURS. This is entirely too long and I have no idea what my husband and I were thinking. We only have 2 kids and they don't even get sugar that often.
We came home with a grocery bag FULL of candy. Do I need the extra temptation? Hell no. But there it is. The chocolate is calling to me from the fridge as I type this.
I really need a few weeks to recover from this holiday, but hey, guess what? Thanksgiving is only 3 weeks away. How am I going to survive the holiday season if I am already exhausted and it hasn't even really begun?
I'm in a lot of trouble...
